MURDER ? SO WHAT!

by Ed Vitagliano | AFA Journal News Editor

“[A]t the end of the day, the truth is that when you perform an abortion you are killing something,” said Dr. David Molloy of the Australian Medical Association.

For pro-lifers, that is a statement of the obvious. But what if you were confronted with the full horror of what that death represented – and still didn’t care? Is it possible that pro-abortionists could finally admit that abortion is murder, but then collectively shrug their shoulders?

That seems to be the case after the release of a British documentary entitled My Fetus, which aired in Britain in April, and then in Australia in August. The documentary contains footage of an unborn baby being sucked out of a mother’s womb, shows dismembered babies – one of whom is being rinsed in a sieve – and other remains being carefully put back together in order to ensure that no body parts were left in Mommy’s tummy.

The film is apparently staggering in its emotional impact. One pro-abortion journalist, Lauren Booth of the Daily Telegraph (London), who has herself had an abortion, watched the documentary and was stunned. “My hand flew to my mouth in shock,” she said. “I swallowed. I didn’t want to say it, but the word ‘murder’ came to my lips.”

There is tremendous irony involved here, however, because My Fetus was not made by pro-lifers. It is the work of pro-abortion activist and filmmaker Julia Black, daughter of Tim Black, who heads up Britain’s largest abortion provider. Black had her own abortion when she was 21.

So what was her reason for making such a film? She told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) that it was to “reclaim the most powerful weapon the anti-abortion groups currently have – the fetus and the baby.” Black wanted pro-abortionists to be faced with the gruesome reality of what they were advocating – in order to better defend it. Certainly not apologize for it.

What’s truly horrifying is Black’s apparent indifference to the gruesome reality of what her film presents all too clearly. In an interview with ABC’s Tony Jones, Black said the idea of “dismembering a baby and pulling it out in pieces … is obviously horrific. But at the same time, it is easy to get caught up in that emotion.”

Later she told a newspaper, “I can take on board the emotional significance, but I still really do believe it’s my right and I don’t regret my abortion and I would never say I would never have one again.”

It’s one thing for someone to advocate abortion in ignorance of what is being done to an unborn child, or even to support abortion while refusing to look at the nature of the act. But how does one stare dismemberment in the face and simply shrug?

A similarly abhorrent attitude was expressed non-chalantly in the U.S. by another pro-abortion evangelist, Amy Richards. A feminist activist and author, an abortion rights advocate who has worked with Planned Parenthood, and a co-founder of a feminist organization that has financed abortions, Richards recounted in The New York Times Magazine how she handled the news that she was pregnant – with triplets.

What can one person do? A lot, actually.

by Don Wildmon
AFA Chairman & Founder
AFA Journal, October, 2002 edition

What can a person do to help stem the tide of moral breakdown? Here are some things that individuals can do. I hope you will get involved at whatever level you see fit.

It all begins, of course, by caring. Being concerned. Having the desire to make a difference. Without care, without concern, without any desire to make a difference for God and good with the one life you have been given, nothing can be accomplished. So, Christian activism begins with concern.

Next, get informed. Too many of us get our perspective, our news, from those who are thrilled with every traditional values brick which is removed from the wall. Know the Scriptures. Apply them to the situation. Subscribe to magazines which convey the Biblical perspective. Listen to Christian radio. Watch Christian television. Recognize that those in the secular news often have a different worldview, a different agenda, and you are the one they are trying to convince.

Spend some time praying, lifting up the condition of our country to a holy and righteous God. Ask for His guidance. Ask for His strength.

Find a good, Bible-believing church where the Word is taught and caught, where the issues are addressed and application of the Word made a part of everyday life.

Ask your pastor to speak to the issues from the pulpit, giving Biblical guidance. Encourage members to do more than simply attend the worship service. Get your Sunday School class to study the issues and act on them.

Work with other individuals and churches and groups in your local community on special projects. Cooperation is needed. It is good. While churches may not be able to agree on some theological points, surely they can agree and work together in addressing some of the basic moral issues.

We are witnessing the disintegration of two thousand years of Western Civilization. It is time – past time – for Christians to become involved. Do it for the sake of the children.

About This Legislation:
A bill to ensure that women seeking an abortion are fully informed regarding the pain experienced by their unborn child.

The Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act (S.2466)would require those who perform abortions on unborn children 20 weeks after fertilization to inform the woman seeking an abortion of the medical evidence that the unborn child feels pain --

a. through a verbal statement given by the abortion provider, and also

b. by providing a brochure--developed by the Department of Health and Human Services--that goes into more detail than the verbal statement on the medical evidence of pain experienced by an unborn child 20 weeks after fertilization

The bill would also ensure that the woman, if she chooses to continue with the abortion procedure after being given the medical information, has the option of choosing anesthesia for the child, so that the unborn child's pain is less severe.

Faith In America.Where is it?

Good Morning ..
I am working on this blog, and i have been led for it to defend Jesus.Every day we look around and see all this awful stuff in the world.Pain.death,disease on all ages. From birth to death.Over 5,ooo,ooo babies here alone never even got to breathe.Death by abortion. We look at the economy and it is all but shot. Our finances heading out the window faster than you can shed a tear.Job loss here in the states at an all time high.Food banks have shortages in food they need to feed the hunger here.Homeless people that a few years ago we would have been envious of their lifestyle.Health care in some places becoming non existent.Stores stocking less and less and prices rising higher and higher.General stores that have been open all our lives now have a closed sign in the window. What has caused this?Lots of things could be add on's but the real reason i believe(and i can still do that,at least now) is that we have all but turned our backs on God.You can interpret the constitution and turn it all over the place to fit your agenda and lifestyle and support of your ideas. But if you truly want to see what is written about and what the stands our forefathers took, then you will find it's TRULY BASED ON FAITH IN GOD AND CHRISTIANITY.
What at one time would have been impossible to do is now very possible in our age of computers. You can study every aspect of the constitution for your self .Not sentences groups or people want you to.like for instance this one from our forefather John Adams..
Folks love use this part of the quote he wrote to defend taking religion out of things..
The second President (or tenth if you consider John Hanson the first) wrote to Thomas Jefferson on June 28, 1813:

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were. . . . the general principles of Christianity. . . . I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God; and that those principles of liberty are as unalterable as human nature.
However, Adams is often quoted as saying, "This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it!" However, here's the complete quote in an April 19, 1817, letter to Thomas Jefferson:
Twenty times in the course of my late reading have I been on the point of breaking out, "This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion at all!!!" But in this exclamation I would have been as fanatical as Bryant or Cleverly. Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company, I mean hell."

aaahhhhhhh...But they don't want you see all of it.And more........

Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams organized the Boston Tea Party, and served as Governor of Massachusetts, a delegate to the Continental congress, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
In his 1772 work, The Rights of the Colonists, Adams wrote:
II. The Rights of the Colonists as Christians.

The right to freedom being the gift of the Almighty...The rights of the colonists as Christians...may be best understood by reading and carefully studying the institutions of The Great Law Giver and Head of the Christian Church, which are to be found clearly written and promulgated in the New Testament.

In his Last Will and Testament he wrote:

Principally, and first of all, I resign my soul to the Almighty Being who gave it, and my body I commit to the dust, relying on the merits of Jesus Christ for the pardon of my sins.

Alexander Hamilton

The Episcopalian authored many of the Federalist Papers, signed the Constitution, and became the first Secretary of the Treasury. In an April 1802 letter to James A. Bayard, Hamilton proposed The Christian Constitutional Society:

In my opinion, the present Constitution is the standard to which we are to cling. Under its banner bona fide must we combat our political foes, rejecting all changes but through the channel itself provided for amendments. By these general views of the subject have my reflections been guided. I now offer you the outline of the plan they have suggested. Let an association be formed to be denominated "The Christian Constitutional Society," its object to be first: The support of the Christian religion. second: The support of the United States.

Hamilton was shot and killed by Aaron Burr in a duel on July 12, 1804. His last dying words reportedly were:
I have a tender reliance on the mercy of the Almighty, through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a sinner. I look to Him for mercy; pray for me.

Patrick Henry

Best known for his "give me liberty or give me death" speech on March 23, 1775, he became the first governor of Virginia.
One of his most famous quotes, cannot be verified, although it's used by many Christian ministers: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the gospel of Jesus Christ!" It's not found anywhere in his recorded writings or speeches.

However, here's a verified quote from a letter to his daughter dated August 20, 1796:
Amongst other strange things said of me, I hear it is said by the deists that I am one of the number; and indeed, that some good people think I am no Christian. This thought gives me much more pain than the appellation of Tory; because I think religion of infinitely higher importance than politics; and I find much cause to reproach myself that I have lived so long, and have given no decided and public proofs of my being a Christian. But, indeed, my dear child, this is a character which I prize far above all this world has, or can boast.
And in his will ==

This is all the inheritance I give to my dear family. The religion of Christ will give them one which will make them rich indeed.

John Jay

One of the authors of the Federalist Papers and first Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Jay wrote to Rev. Uzal Ogden, on February 14, 1796:

I have long been of opinion that the evidence of the truth of Christianity requires only to be carefully examined to produce conviction in candid minds. . . .

And in an April 23, 1811, letter to John Bristed, April 23, 1811, he wrote:

While in France . . . I do not recollect to have had more than two conversations with atheists about their tenants. The first was this: I was at a large party, of which were several of that description. They spoke freely and contemptuously of religion. I took no part in the conversation. In the course of it, one of them asked me if I believed in Christ? I answered that I did, and that I thanked God that I did.

Thomas Jefferson

The writer of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States wrote to Charles Thomson in 1816:

I, too, have made a wee-little book from the same materials, which I call the Philosophy of Jesus; it is a paradigm of his doctrines, made by cutting the texts out of the book, and arranging them on the pages of a blank book, in a certain order of time or subject. A more beautiful or precious morsel of ethics I have never seen; it is a document in proof that I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus.

Jefferson was a Deist who respected Christ's teachings, but rejected His divinity, His miracles, and His resurrection. In a letter to William Short dated April 13, 1820, he wrote:

I am a Materialist.

Among the sayings and discourses imputed to [Jesus] by His biographers, I find many passages of fine imagination, correct morality, and of the most lovely benevolence; and others, again, of so much ignorance, so much absurdity, so much untruth, charlatanism and imposture, as to pronounce it impossible that such contradictions should have proceeded from the same Being. I separate, therefore, the gold from the dross; restore to Him the former, and leave the latter to the stupidity of some, and roguery of others of His disciples. Of this band of dupes and impostors, Paul was the great . . . corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus.

In separating Jesus divine and human natures, Jefferson wrote to John Adams, January 24, 1814 that the divine aspects of Christ were "the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills."

And so he compiled The Jefferson Bible: The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth Extracted Textually from the Gospels. Jefferson simply cut out anything of a supernatural or miraculous nature and so his Bible ends:

Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus, And rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

So, were the Founding Fathers Christians? They believed in a supreme being,God above.
Most were Christians. But now weexpecially here in the united states over the past 30 or do years have tried every way we can to totally block out God.For if we acknowledge God,we must admit we are sinning. It is far easier to say,we can all do as we please with no consequences. And that is what we have done.
Kill babies and call it choice
Kill people and call it insanity
Rebel against parents and we call it add and adhd(some people do have this,BUT NOT 75 %!!!!!It is a problem, not an excuse to use!)
kill our children outside the womb and call it a disease!post partum depression
kids Killing kids -take god out and the morals and rules go with him!

I COULD GO ON AND ON!!!!!!!!

this COUNTRY STOOD AS A BEACON TO MANY NATIONS FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED YEARS ON THE SAME RULES.People please...Don't tell me you can't see a direct problem here.It is no coincidence that when God leaves, nations fall....Are we going to open our eyes and see this or must we fall before we acknowledge our God.I pray we wake up before we pay this price....We already know what happens when nations let go of God.The Bible is full of their stories....A lot of these stories have been proven to be true in our own generation.Have we become stupid as well????We as Christians have stood quiet to long..

I for one will be silenced no more.So please ..This is my blog.If you don't like it,then don't come back.It is my thoughts and ideas. If they offend you ,well...your ideas offend me as well.We are even.I am tired of being offended and not being able to voice my thoughts and ideas as you have.I AM A CHRISTIAN AND I WILL NOT WAVER.one DAY WE SHALL ALL STAND BEFORE GOD....LIKE IT OR NOT!!!!!
ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THAT?WHAT WILL YOU SAY WHEN HE ASK DID YOU BELIEVE IN ME? DID ANYONE ELSE KNOW THAT?
ETERNITY DEPENDS ON IT.
