I am soooo tired of winning all these online lotto's! I must be the luckiest person around..Well on second thoughts,maybe not.I would wage a bet you are winning them too!Every time i check my email,i have won at least 1.and i check it several times a day.Most of them are from africa or the uk, but some are from other areas.Millions i have won i tell you..and all i have to do to get the info is tell them my name,age ,dob,address,phone # ...and they will ''secretly '' tell me what to do next! If you have not figured it out yet,you must not have an email addy..or at least never use it..I am talking about online scams! i recieved one yesterday that appears to have come from KRAFT FOODS! i alerted the co. and sent them the copy.i have yet to hear back from them.so please all of you out there...be alert..Do not give out information at all to any of these..if you have actually won a lotto,you will know about it.And i am pretty sure thay will not have a yahoo or hotmail email account! i am pretty certain of that...
here a few links to some places i have visited tonight..I love the idea of living off the grid(meaning not giving all that hard earned cash to the electrical companies),canning,preserving ,being frugal etc...I also am a believer in that we as a country is in for a fall..How bad,i don't know..how long,not sure about that either.But are hard times coming? DEFINITELY!
So it is a wise choice to maybe think on this and maybe be a little prepared in case it does...At the very least your family want starve...tHATS WORTH A LITTLE HARD WORK AND RESEARCH...anyway maybe you will find some of this helpful...i have...

How to Build a decent Wilderness Survival Kit..
A Wilderness Survival Kit is an absolute must if you spend any time away from civilization (hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc). There are commercial kits available out there for purchase, but building your own helps you to think about the what-ifs involved in living off the land, and also the opportunity to tailor the kit to your skill sets and tastes. I detail one of my relatively comprehensive kits below. I have listed each item and explained some of the various uses for each as well.

Wild foods like rosehips for example, contain a lot of vitamin C and can be eaten year round, they’re not that hard to find even in the dead of winter. Other foods are better in the spring, summer or fall. Learn which wild foods you can expect to find in your area, the best time to harvest them and where they can be found.
Personal sanitation will be critical. You will need to keep yourself clean to stay healthy. Wash your hands often to avoid transmitting germs to your face and eyes and to each other. Don’t use the same hand towels among the different people in your group if you can help it.

December's Here,with thoughts of Jesus,Children,Family ,Friends and Santa!
Happy Jesus Birthday time friends!
I will add a few contest for fun at the end for all of you..please go by and enter and say hello to my blogger friends.
Ilove the month of December,it signals time of renewal to me.The holiday season where everyone seems a little kinder and younger.Just something in the air nearing Christmas.No matter what religion you are ,if ANy,It brings out something special in most of us.It makes us look at others and wonder how they are ,we look at the news a little different.Well most anyway.
When the robins arrive each year ,it signals winter is truely here in the south.They came in last week in full force.The yard is full of them and this year they have chosen to roost in the tree line in the backyard again.I am so pleased with that.The tree's are alive with movement of the Robins,the air is filled with their songs.It amazes me when i see them all coming in at once.They know when to fly and they know when to stop.
If only we could all be led by God like that.Be open to the inner prompting of the spirit of our father.We would know when to act and when to stay absoulutely still...
So many problems would be totally avoided ,so many accomplishments.We could all take care of each other and this world would be a very different place.
This time of the year reminds us,in case we have overlooked it lately,That a savior came down from Heaven,to become like you and me,to save us.In the process he was human,like you and me,but remained perfect.He loved us enough to share and take on all our pains and sorrows,and be killed(by imperfect people like us) so we would not spiritually have too.That the earthly death would be the only one we ever felt!That is awesome when you think about it.When we die,our spirit goes somewhere..just the way it is.I am glad to know that mine will be with The Father,because Jesus will stand beside me on that day ,Because i believe in him and i love him. I am by far a perfect person,but Jesus died for me.That causes me to try and better myself,to be a little kinder,more forgiving,more giving ,more loving.I can never be the man Jesus was on this earth,But i can try and walk closer and closer ..In the process he can and will change me .I am thankful Jesus loved me and you that much.
I think on my loved ones that have died during the holidays and i miss them more sometimes.Expecially my grandparents.They taught me how to love the lord,family,manners,morals and so very much more.Grandma taught me prayer and positive attitude no matter what was coming and what i may face.They left me a great legacy..one no amount of money could ever buy..They left me an enduring love and i am certain my grandma's prayers cover me still!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU .......

November Contest Running now
Happy Holidays everyone!
Well another Thanksgiving for most has come and gone..(we celebrate saturday when the whole family can be here at mom's). I do hope you took time to reflect on thankful things..A lot of times we tend to reflect on just the bad things or just the good..
We honestly need to take time for both.Negative and Positive.Good and Bad.laughter and tears.it is all what makes us stronger or weaker.i have found for myself that in bad times it seems to strengthen me,in the good times i guess i just want to lavish in it..
My family has had a lot of bad this year,could be worse so i don't have much time for "pity parties".At times this past year i have just wished i could find a place and just fall apart,but i knew i couldn't.I have a 2 year old grandson ,full time ,and a 5 year old grandson,part time,to raise..They depend on me ,so i pray a lot,laugh with them as much as possible and smile through tears.Iknow this season will change and maybe make a better,and stronger,Mom,Grandma,Sister,Daughter,Aunt ,Friend and Christian out of me..
If these things are accomplished ,then all is worth it.I try to always look around and see what other people are facing,maybe have a kind word for them instead of pity for myself..I have found if nothing else,that there is always someone with a harder problem than my own.So on that note,i will not fall or despair..
God gives us the grace we need to stand strong ,we only have to accept it..and i do...Good can come out of anything ..no matter how bad.
On the flip side,i am looking forward to my new grandbabies next year,my son will be daddy for the first time and he and julie could not be happier! justin,nephew ,and his lady are expecting at almost the same time as well as my daughter..so 3 new babies next may to go along with my precious billy and kolby.I have always said i wanted to have a holiday table when i got older filled with grandbabies ,just like my grandma's had..
Looks like God is granting me that wish.
If i leave them one day with nothing more than my love and a knowledge that there is always hope, to never fail because there is a god above whom loves them,,then i can be happy with that.a legacy i would be proud of...
SO REMEMBER TO BE THANKFUL,AND GIVE WHEN YOU CAN TO OTHERS...SOMEONE ALWAYS HAS IT WORSE...
i'd also like to invite you over to my other blogs as well..

CANT GET RICH
he says there is no way to get rich online...i am pretty sure he is right unless you have lot's of money to start up..since most of us don't...oh well...but there is a little extra money to be made ,i have found that out(the hard way i may add,,lol).
anyway this is a really neat site with good info ,and not too mention a kickin contest going on now through 11:59 on December 1st.Whoever wins gets a $100 gift certificate to the Apple store!
..i would love to win this contest,i'd be able to get a really nice gift for my son.finances are very tight(honestly) right now even hubby working overtime..so it would be nice to win...
I created this site to tell the world that you can’t get rich online, because all of the good ideas are taken. After only 4 days, this site has surpassed my personal blog in hits per day, and that’s been live since July.
You know what though? I’m not satisfied. So many of you out there still foolishly believe that you can get rich online. I need to get the word out. So, like so many other bloggers out there, I’m going to have a contest. The rules for the contest are simple:CLICK TO READ MORE-> enter now!

Was just visiting over at Mamanista's and yet another prize has been added to the 12 days of giveaways!
Win Hip and Practical Baby Clothing from Stylease!
At Mamanista, we believe that moms shouldn't have to choose between style and practicality when buying baby clothing. One of our goals is to find a reasonably-priced, easy-to-launder, comfortable and hip-looking outfits for baby.
I have to give Mama Luxe credit for finding Stylease in her daily internet browsing and emailing me photos of their adorable outfits. Pictured at left is the "Chips & Cheese" outfit from Stylease's Spring Line that I received. Even though this looks like a three-piece layered outfit, it is actually one-piece!
You'll find it easy to dress baby since this one piece has snap openings in the crotch for easy diaper changes and hidden snaps to open the outfit to the waist in the front. And baby will look fashionable all day (or at least until he spits up) because the attached-shirt will never ride up, twist or tangle. I laundered the "Chips & Cheese" outfit, and it held up really well in the wash and had no color-bleeding at all. (According to the Stylease website, all the outfits are made with colorfast fabrics.)
You Can Win a Stylease Spring or Fall Outfit!
One lucky reader will win an outfit from the Stylease Spring or Fall Line as part of Mamanista's 12 Days of Giveaways. To enter for a chance to win, you must complete both of these steps:

Carrot Cake with Secret Cream Cheese Frosting
From Terri Che/Reynolds, Georgia
Every year at Christmas, my mom makes a carrot cake that is just a little different. It's the frosting that puts this cake over the top.
Carrot Cake with Secret Cream Cheese Frosting
1 box spice cake mix
1/4 cup oil
1 cup grated carrot
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1 1/3c water
Mix all ingredients. Pour into greased floured 13 x 9 pan, bake at 350F for 35 minutes. Cool.
Secret Cream Cheese Frosting
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 c toasted chopped pecans
1 tsp. instant coffee powder
3 tsps water
1 box confectioners sugar
Mix all ingredients. If too thin add more powdered sugar. Too thick, add water 1/2 tsp at a time to spreading consistency

Welcome to BlogsWeLuv, where the only thing we enjoy more than reading blogs is blogging about them!
BlogsWeLuv is the product of a late night brainstorming session by two bloggers with entirely too much time on their hands. We had just committed to participation in Blogathon 2007 and needed a central blogging site as well as a theme for our content. After tossing around lots of crazy ideas, we decided that we should blog about the one thing we know better than anything else – blogs! We read them. We write them. We live and breathe them. And now we are blogging about them! We will use this site to review unique and interesting blogs that we’ve discovered on our many trips around the blogosphere.
. Leave a comment on this post to let us know that you’ve spread the word. A winner will be chosen through random.org at midnight on November 30th. A review of the winning blog will be posted during the first week of December.

Demon Night ARC — Contest
I have an ARC (plain white cover, might have a few typos, 448 pages, small type) of my upcoming release, Demon Night (February 5) to give away. There is a catch, however: because this is an advance reading copy, I want to use it in the way it’s intended to be used:
If you win, please post a review on a) Amazon, BN.com, Powell’s and/or any online bookstore of your choice, or b) write up a review on your blog, or c) if you don’t have a blog, I can arrange for you to have it posted either here (even if you hate it) or at another blog in the romance circuit.
Please don’t feel obligated to post a positive review if you don’t like the book.
If you’re new to the Guardian universe, this is a good place to hop on; Demon Angel and Demon Moon finished the introductory arc, and Demon Night starts the new arc.
Here’s the back cover copy, and an excerpt is here:
So, to make this all official: In the comments of this post, tell us what the last good book you read was (and if you have an extra second, tell us a little about the book — especially if it’s a book outside the romance genre, or a book that isn’t on the bestseller list and not many people may have heard of.) I’ll keep the contest open for the rest of November, and randomly select a winner on Dec 1st.

Life's Punches---The making of a Helper..
I have been setting here this morning visiting a few friends blogs and saying hello..doing a few contests along the way.But i am mentally revisiting my past and my families all the while.
Sometimes in our lives bad things happen and for the life of us we can't figure out why.We see other's go through life and seems like gold is just spread at their feet,and nothing negative or bad seems to touch them.Through my life i have been envious of people like that at times.While others, when bad things happen, seem to be able to just shrug it off as ''crap happens''! I could never do that.Negative or positive's,cursings or blessing's would embed themselves within me and run through my mind constantly.i could never just ''forget about it''.
For almost 11 years me and my kids were in a very abusive relationship with my daughters dad.95% OF IT WAS THE MOST HORRIFIENG times of me and my son's life.My daughter didn't get the abuse me and my son did..but still it hurt her mentally.
I tried over and over to get the courage up to leave but to no evail.I did manage to leave a couple times but each time he brought me back with fear of what he'd do if i didnt.i could go on and on on this subject but at the moment i choose not to.
My son's dad died when i was 4 months pregnant with him.He never knew his dad,never saw him.This abusive person was the only dad he knew ..(he knew about his actual blood father-but this man was with us from the time he was 1&1/2.so to him this was ''dad''.
He ,like me, caught the wrath if one thing went wrong. if he played too loud,laughted too loud,forgot to pick up a toy,dropped food in floor,spilled a drink,etc,etc,etc.He went from a baby to a young man in this type of enviroment.Every pet he did get would ''dissappear''.seemed like anything that made my son or me smile he just could not tolerate.
After 11 years of this i came to the conclusion that we was killing us painfully and slow.So which was best ,this way or quickly...i chose quickly.
11 YEARS OF FEAR turned out to be unwarranted totally..he did nothing !!!!! but try to totally turn my daughter against me and my son on every visit he decided to get her on.(you must remember--laws were not so much in place then,,lots has changed in 15 years---AND FOR THE BEST TO PROTECT FAMILIES.)
The first few months after we moved out both my kids would crawl in the bed with me at night..my son, out of fear that he would show up during the night and the hell would start all over again,and my daughter from even a young age could not stand to be alone,expeciallly at night.And to this day she is still that way..She will not be alone sadly.
i use to look at them at night as they sleep and wonder what their dreams were,,how they would turn out as adults.statistics were starting to show then that children from this type of life tended to fall back into it as adults.the abused beCAme the abusers and so forth..i feared all this in my heart AND SOOOO much more.But God had plans.Plans at that time i was clueless about.
Where is this going you ask?
Thankfully statistics were wrong for my son.He grew up with a loving heart,a tenderness for giving and a burning light in his soul for helping those that he could.if for nothing more than sharing the change in his pocket.He has had some rough times in his life and even into adulthood he has. a motorcycle wreck when he was 14 that should have ended his life,a girl he eventually married at 19 because she was pregnant and convinced him it may be your's but help me anyway..you be her daddy.He did, as well as all of us, for 3 years ,then she gave the little girl to her mom(custody) and left..she wasn't his,we could no nothing but hurt.This almost destroyed him.But had we not had those three years we would never have had the oppurtunity to love this wonderful little girl.Prayers still cover her daily.And who knows,Myabe that was the purpose of those 3 painful years.Would it be worth it again? OF COURSE!!!!
other things happened but i will stop with this.he does not talk much on pain only what he can do something about..so out of that respect i'll end that..(ON a positive note,he and his lady are now expecting their first baby in may-they are thrilled..)
Life can throw us all kinds of punches and yes they hurt,,,but you know what ..just as in body building,these punches ,if allowed ,can build us in to a much stronger person than had we not experianced them.
How can you really feel for someone in pain if you have not been wounded deeply?
How can you tell anyone that it will get better if you don't believe it?
How can you give freely with your heart and all you have if you have not needed that before yourself?
How can you tell someone that time will heal if you don't carry the scars yourself?
How can you tell an addict they can overcome if you have walked their steps before?
how can you feel loss if you have not lost?????
how can you tell and abused person to just get out when you don't have a clue what is going on behind the scenes?
How can you tell someone tough love is best ,if it has not already tore your heart in half to inflict it?
How can you look at the bruises on a child or abused adult and understand how this could be allowed if you have not lived in these same houses?
How can i say abortion will hurt everyone involved if i have had felt the sting of it happen.(i don't know how mom or dad feels-but i do know what loosing a grandchild to abortion feels like)
A lot of us try and ''help''..BUT i have come to the conclusion that we are given these trials during our lives for a reason...To help others and really understand in our hearts..Not just what we can learn in a classroom,or in a book ,tv,study courses or anything else..(although these are good tools)..It must be experianced.
God allows these things to happen because he knows the people who will come into our lives later on...I have seen it happen over and over.
Anything that does not kill us strengthens us ..and even more powerfully if we depend on Jesus,Holy Spirit and our God..hE WILL TURN ALL THE PAIN INTO A USEFUL TOOL FOR YOU..i know he has for me and my son..
If you have learned these things,help others..it is true that in helping others you yourself become healed..there's just something about giving to others when we hurt that allows a scar to take place of an open gaping raw spot.When others spot your ''scar'' they know you truely understand..it is not just words...IT IS WORDS YOU HAVE LIVED BY...
i pray that each of you who have been hurt,become the caregiver,become the voice for those who are not where you are..and that you allow nothing in this world to shake you to the point that regrowth can not occur.
I PRAY BLESSINGS AND STRENGTH THROUGH JESUS TO ALL OF YOU...
BETTY

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HELLO ALL AND HAPPY NOVEMBER !
just a quick update before i begin contest tonight...A lot has been going on this week in the world as well as in my family.I ask you all for prayers for us if you don't mind..We can surely use them..For any of you whom have read my prior blogs or over from myspace,my daughter has come back,but she still is not in rehab.We have tried but she is so defiant,that is still her way or nothing!I also know that some of the anger is from coming off the drugs,,meth...any of you whom has had this in your lives or loved one's know what i am talking about.And to those who don't ,thank god each day that you have not had to deal with this insanity! you can not imagine until you are in it,what goes on inside their minds and how it WILL effect your entire families lives.meth does not mind whose life it takes ,men,women,kids,rich,poor..will take as many and as quick as it possibly canso be aware of the potential at all times..and if you ever suspect your loved one on meth,,SEEK HELP IMMEDIATLY..and what ever you do..DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES OR FEEL SORRY FOR THEM..IT IS THE DRUG SPEAKING,SAVE THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
...As much as i'd like to say it is on an uphill swing,at this point i still can not..i can only say that i do hear from her every few days now..she has visited with our 2 year old grandson ,but still has not been allowed to be around the 5 year old..he has had such a hard time these past 8 months ,not understanding how mommie could just leave,that we have not decided a of yet that it would be good for him to see her like this...she wants to see him so things will change for the better soon i pray.don't think we are being too hard ,we just have to put his best interest first right now...i have also found out that she is pregnant again ...so that has lot's of worries on my mind as well...
My son darrell and his fiancee,julie, are expecting! this is his dream come true...to have a family..he is 27. she will be relocating here to alabama in the next 3 weeks .she is from arizona..julie is one of the kindest hearted ladies i have ever met..i am proud to have her as daughter in law..she works with children and wants to make that her career.
The boys are doing good,,billy loves school,he is in kindergarten.we will be taking them trick or treating tomotrrow night and also to a church festival next wed.
We are still having problems with our rebellious teenager as well..he is 15.maybe that will chill soon..we keep him on a very tight lease right now ..have too until you can trust him,too many dangers out there now...
i also found out that one and only nephew and his girlfriend may be pregnant..they are sooo young and he has not finished school..he is a very responsible young man and she seems to be as well..but teens with babies....VERY HARD! a very long road ahead for them.He has not told his mom yet ,wants to make certain first.
and oh my gosh ...all the tough things going on around the world now....I feel so bad for all the people who lost homes and property to the fires in california..and to all the animals that suffered as well..just horrible..but maybe now the fires are mostly under control..everything in iran and iraq..and israel..just too many too mention..and then as well as all the presidential hopefuls ..it is almost confusing trying to figure out who stands for what anymore.
i hope all of you had a happy,safe and fun halloween and a great weekend!!!!on to contest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
want to wish you a Merry Christmas! What? It’s not Christmas yet? Nay, not even December? Well, why didn’t someone inform every retail establishment in the country? I have to admit the Christmas trees and snowmen decorations are making me ready for Christmas!
And to celebrate I’m having a Bloggy Christmas! I want to give you, my unbelievable readers (still can’t believe I have those!) some Christmas gifts! For the next few weeks, I’ll be giving away some of my favorite Christmas stuff–books, gifts and well, stuff! All you have to do is come back here every week to check out what’s going on at my Christmas party. One week you’ll be able to just leave a comment and win. The next week, we might have a Mr. Linky up to post a Christmas memory. I’ve got a few fun things planned and I hope you’ll get involved and play along!
I’ve never done a big bloggy shindig (couldn’t think of another “b” word!). I don’t pretend that I’m going to have 50million people show up. I just want to share my Christmas with you. I’m amazed at how much I’ve gained from my blog in these past few months–a new hobby, a creative outlet, a few free books and most of all a huge circle of friends! I hope as I host this Bloggy Christmas you’ll see and hear the real Spirit of Christmas, have a little fun and make some friends along the way!
Each week, I’ll update this page with a link to my giveaway/post/fun thingamajig. (If you’d subscribe to my RSS feed via your bloglines or other feed reader, you’ll know right away when I post a new giveaway! hint hint.)
Week One: (check back on Monday, the 5th!)
******************don't miss this at 5 MINUTES FOR MOM!!! RETRO CAR!+++++
You can choose one of these cool jalopy cars — The Pink Princess Pedal Car, The Harry Car or The Harriett Car. Or take the equivalent value of $179 as a gift certificate towards any item in our store.
And if you don’t have any preschoolers, don’t worry… you can still celebrate the 1950’s with us.
Instead of a pedal car, you could choose the popular Suitcase-Style Portable Record Player was introduced in the late 1950’s.
The Crosley CR89 Traveler Stack-O-Matic takes you back in time as you listen to a stack of old records.
Or you could choose a Coke Classic Picnic Cooler or take a gift certificate and put it towards one of our most popular retro items — A 1930’s style Coke Machine.
These coke machines are an exact replica of the famous Westinghouse Junior Coke Machine of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Our customers love these refrigerated coke machines… they are perfect for keeping cold drinks handy in the TV room or on the patio.
OCTOBER WRITE AWAY CONTEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***********************************************************************************
Here is a really cool contest going on over at Mother Hood In Alaska's
The theme for the month will be "Things That Scare Me." This could be anything from the mold in your bathroom to the worries you may have as a parent, but share with us what scares and frightens you, what keeps you up at night.
Write a post or find one in your archives about things that scare you and email your post's permalink to me at: scribbit at gmail.com any time through Wednesday October 17th. If you fail to meet the October 17th deadline I will still happily publish the link to your post and include it in the list of entries but it will not be judged. I reserve the right to reject submissions if they fail to meet the topic or if they contain objectionable content.
2. Publish a link to the contest page here at Scribbit in either your entry post or in a separate post.
3. Check back here on Friday October 19th when I will post a complete list of the entries along with the Write-Away Winner and any honorable mentions our judge sees fit to award.
Our guest judge this month is Shalee from Shalee's Diner who, far from being a terrifying person is an absolute sweetie, and will judge the entries based on the quality of writing, the applicability to the topic and the overall ability to engage (or scare) the reader.
The prize you're writing for is a collection of brand new mystery, crime and thriller novels. Last week I attend Bouchercon 2007, the world's biggest mystery writers convention where writers, editors and fans gathered to talk about the genre and learn from the masters. Diana Gabaldon, Robert S. Levinson, James Sallis, Otto Penzler, the big names were all there and they gave out a lot of cool stuff. I have fourteen new mystery stories as this month's prize (let's hope you like to be thrilled!) including:
***HERE IS MY ENTRY!!!!! A WORLD WITHOUT LOVE
What scares me the most is the realization of all the danger's in the world now and all the abuse.Every time you turn on the tv or the radio,you hear of someone who has killed another,stolen a child ,abuse in all forms and our rights being taken away more and more to protect our homes and families.We are taking God out of everything and wonder why our nation seems to be falling apart.
I grew up in a home in rural alabama(where i still live).Sometime's the door was locked at night,sometimes not.We sat at the table and said grace before each meal,taught please & thank you , yes sir ,no sir,mam etc.We learned at a very young age to work and do your best at all you do.You worked for what you wanted,not steal it.
I look around now and i see young people shooting other children ,16 year old's going to jail for stealing.Little babies being abused and murdered by the very hands that should be tucking them in at night and wiping away the tears they cry.
We abort millions of unborn children yearly and we don't even want to acknowledge they are even alive under the name of choice.Thousand's of children are stolen yearly,and a high percentage are brutally killed after their captor's are through ''having their fun''.Drugs and alcohol are destroying families and killing mom's and dad's.A broken family is the norm now.
This scares me badly when i look in the eyes of my grandkid's and see into a small part of their future lives.What will it be like in 20 years,30 years..
I can't say that much anything scares me ,like animals,and things that go thump in the night..I love halloween and the fright of the ''boogers'' and the kids.
But what i fear only grows stronger each and every day.A world without LOVE.
BETTY
love letters to a child
Our Seven Qtpies has a great contest going on right now...
Do you long to connect deeply with your children? To have a positive impact on their lives? To celebrate successes and discoveries as well as ordinary moments spent together? If this is what you want, but the distractions of daily life get in the way, then this book is for you.
Writing a love letter or making an entry in a journal for your child takes only 10 minutes and is an effective way to
Affirm your child’s uniqueness as a creation of God
Bond with your child
Celebrate and encourage character growth
Document milestones in your child’s spiritual journey
Establish a family legacy
This book provides examples and ideas to get you started. Years from now you’ll be glad you did.
You can find the book at Amazon or with the publisher Winepressbooks. I know you are going to love this book, my friend Nikki is using it now and has a review up on her blog.
The give-away ends October 14, and the winner will be announced on October 15th.To win an autographed copy of Tracey's book:
Homemom3 is giving out a brand new, still in the packaging Word World DVD. Read below for the review and how you can enter to win.
Review:
This is a great new program that we got to preview before the release in September 3, 2007 for PBS Kids and let me tell ya this will be one kid show we tune in to EVERYDAY.
Isabella, age 3, was so excited when I popped this little video in and she was so into the show that once each one ended I had to click the next, but when there were no more shows, I figured she’d just go back to playing with her toys, instead she asked if she could watch them again.Even now, she continues to watch Word World every single day, not just once a week....
My Weekend
well ,me and the boys spent the weekend together,kolby-2 and billy-5. billy was going back to other nanna's this afternoon,but he has next week off school and he wanted to stay some more..so i will take him to othe nanna's wed. i think..i really enjoy my time with them..that is another bad thing about ''our situation'' right now,they are separated at times and it hurts them.but we keep them together as much as possible ,so they will always be close and their bond is not broken.Bily climbs to top of his tree outside now,a big milestone for him.lol...
we have been talking about halloween the last few days and planning. kolby has his suit already,he is a puppy. i will get billy his this weekend.at school they are having dress up day week after next and he will be ''elvis''! nanna nacy is ordering the suit.and of course picture day has come and gone so we have class pics to buy.
still no direct word from my daughter,only through people saying they have seen her.
tired..off to bed for tonight...
Reason why it is as it is..................
hAPPY FRIDAY ALL....
setting here this afternoon ,waiting on my oldest son to pick up my 5 year old grandson to bring to me...dark clouds filtering in from the east,still related to the tropical storm that went way south of us.wasn't so many years ago yesterday that opal tore through a # 3 hurricane...
WOW! what a night that was,and for several weeks after...
as i said on an earlier post,i have custody of my 2 year old grandson and me and the other nanna split it with the 5 year old grand.(they have different dads)
the reason for this is my daughter got on meth...for almost 7 months now,she has been gone.to protect the children we went and got temp. custody...the 2 year olds dad is also hooked on prescription drugs.pain pills etc...he od'ed in feb. of this year and almost died..did he stop? no he got worse..and drinks to go along with it.at the very least we give my daughter respect for leaving the babies with us before she left..we know they are safe.the 5 year old's dad helps with him. my 2 year old ha not seen mom for 7 months ,nor dad for 4 months.....
this is a story i am hearing more and more from people..drugs and alcohol are tearing our families apart..what can be done??? what can we do???
i know what we can't do. after the age of 21 ,you can't have them put anywhere uless they are suicidal or get busted!!!! if there has been a ''spotting'' of them when they leave ,you put out a missing persons bulletin ,you may be responsible for the man power put into it! you will be billed!!!! there is no where you can take someone that is ''drugged up'' unless you have thousands of dollars upfront...i will tell you from someone who knows the hard way....if this happens to your family,mostly your hands are tied to do anything that may save them...about all you can really do is pray....
it is sad that we do not have the facilities to save our kids after they reach 21,,,it is a bad thing to lay down at night and think your daughter may be dead ,or will happen. it is sad to hear your grandbabies want to know where mom and dad are ,and all you can say is ''i don't know,but we love you.......
I PRAY YOUR FAMILY NEVER EXPERIANCES THIS PAIN......
